The Vintage Sports Car Club of Calgary POKER RUN to Lake Louise!
Join the fun Saturday, June 22, 2024 as we drive our scenic mountain highways and gather playing cards for the winning poker hand to be revealed at our destination, The Station Restaurant in Lake Louise
(www.lakelouisestation.com).
We will meet at 9:00 a.m. and depart from the Canadian Tire parking lot at 5404 Dalton Drive NW,
Calgary. This is where you will receive the event map and the first playing card.
From there we travel Hwy 1a (90 km/h) to the first checkpoint in Canmore and the second card. Then on to the next checkpoint in Banff and the third card. The third checkpoint and fourth playing card are found along the Bow Valley Parkway near Johnson’s Canyon. The last stretch takes us to The Station Restaurant in Lake Louise for the fifth and final card, the “poker call”, lunch and prizes.
This is not a race. Cards are distributed at random. The fastest or first car does not get the best hand.
Registration is only $5 per person, which includes registration for the event and prize eligibility. Guests are welcome. You can order lunch from the restaurant’s menu, and will be responsible for the cost of same.
The restaurant needs the number of diners, so registration will close Saturday, June 15. Please register as soon as possible.
This promises to be a fun and exciting event. Everyone wins with a fantastic day and drive, and someone will make the return trip as this year’s Poker Champ!
