Who we are

The Vintage Sports Car Club of Calgary is a group of over 150 people who are enthusiastic about vintage sports cars.

Most of our members cars are sporting classics such as Austin-Healey, Jaguar, MG, Morgan and Triumph. Some of our members don't own a sports car at all (or are between cars), but share our passion for them.

Some of our members own (and some of us are jealous) sports car that are a little rarer. Some of these include Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Porsche and Ford GT. 

The age of club vehicles range from the 1930's through to the present.

Our volunteer Board of Directors spend a great deal of time managing the clubs affairs so everyone can enjoy the benefits it has to offer.

What we do

We love our cars! During months when we are able (Calgary's climate is not conducive to driving sports cars year round!) we take frequent road trips. Sometimes just a quick afternoon drive, or a weekend day trip, but several times a year we organize longer, multi-day trips. We also enjoy sharing our knowledge and love of cars. Most of us have a mechanical aptitude, and spend many hours working on our own cars. We are more than happy to lend advice, maybe a tool, perhaps even a hand with the work you're doing.

We also plan rallies and social events. A particular feature of our club is "drive-to-eat" events where we drive to restaurants or picnic sites.

By developing relationships and friendships, the Club is a friendly, social gathering place for sharing our interest in driving, maintaining, and enjoying our precious sports cars.   We strongly encourage the participation of our spouses and children, so that Club events are fun for everyone

Our Club General Meetings are held from September to May on the second Wednesday of each month. The meetings are held at:

The meeting pattern is generally:-

• 7:30 pm  
  • Club business,
  • Reports from Officers
• 8:30 pm
  • Presentation by automotive related company (e.g. Restoration, mechanical, body, parts, etc.)
  • Slide show or video by club member
  • Technical presentation
  • Auto related video

Vehicle Rental

As owners of interesting, old, and sometimes rare and expensive cars, members of the VSCCC are often asked about hiring out our cars. We have been asked if we would be willing to lend, rent, hire or drive our cars for special events such as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays or graduations or to be used in the film industry. 

The Vintage Sports Car Club of Calgary does not facilitate or support this activity.
